    General information

    During this course you'll learn about the basisc of wine: How wine is made, the influences of climate, weather, soil, etc. on the style and quality, how to match food and wine, etc. You will also learn about the different grape varieties and their differences. But the focus of this course will be on tasting wine! Each lesson will contain a theoretical and practical part, and at least eight wines per evening will be tasted. The wines will be accompanied by some small bites.

    Born into viticulture Julee Resendez was destined to work in the wine industry. The granddaughter of Washington State Viticulturalists, she later worked in Michelin starred restaurants Bouley, Cafe Boulud and David Burke as a sommelier. The past 7 years she has worked marketing and sales manager for a California winery and large distributor in the United States. She studied with WSET and received her Advanced Certification with Distinction, and Level 4 Diploma. Julee now resides in Amsterdam, opening her own business Van Belle, which does media and marketing for Wineries and events.
